About the GC-Network
The purpose of the GC Network is to inspire UNESCO ASP Schools to integrate global citizenship as a fundamental part of their education.
Global citizens recognize the interconnectedness of humanity, where everyone deserves to live in a just and peaceful world—both today and in the future. This interconnectedness spans across time, politics, social structures, culture, economy, and local, national, and global contexts.
Education for Global Citizenship is inherently transformative, equipping students with the skills and competencies to reflect, question, explore, and challenge accepted truths about the world while acting for positive change in line with UNESCO’s values—for the benefit of current and future generations.
